About Me.

Hello.  こんにちは.  안녕하세요.

My name is Mia Kawamitsu and I am currently studying at Iowa State University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Mass Communication and International Studies.

Visionary. Collaborator. Curator. Leader. These are just a few words to describe my character that I hope to leverage in all my endeavors. I've found a passion in uplifting marginalized voices and being able to communicate their stories to the larger community. My upbringing and past experiences have also cultivated the value of cultural understanding within me. This value has been a leading factor in how I show up in the classroom, workplace, and the world.

Outside of my academic and professional efforts, I have a number of interests from fashion, interior design, traveling, and cafe hopping. I like to combine these interests with my passion for creating digital multimedia content to make the mundane into a masterpiece. I love to find the beauty in the small moments and share these moments with others.
