My Ethics Code

As a communicator with an education background in journalism, I understand the importance and necessity of holding strong values and upholding ethics in my work. Below, you will find the six pillars that make up my ethics code: creativity, adaptability, collaboration, intentionality, transparency, and diversity, equity & inclusion. In both my professional and personal life, I promise to always practice and do my best to uphold these values to be the best employee, coworker and citizen I can be.

CREATIVITY

I believe that in order to be able to communicate effectively and successfully, one must be creative in how they tell a story so that they can capture the attention of a wide audience. I am dedicated to expanding my knowledge by educating myself and learning from other's creativity so that I can provide the best method to disseminate information to the masses.

ADAPTABILITY

In an ever changing world, being able to quickly and efficiently adapt to those changes is an important asset to hold in order to communicate in a way that is relevant and resonates to society. I am committed to continuously expand my knowledge and grow from experiences so that I am capable of adapting to any environment or situation that may arise. 

COLLABORATION

As much as we all want to be “jacks of all trades,” I understand that everyone has different strengths and areas of expertise. That is why I value the importance and value of working collaboratively to create the best product and outcome. Being open and cognizant of different perspectives and ideas will allow for a space that ultimately cultivates a more well-rounded approach to problem–solving and communicating to diverse groups of people.

INTENTIONALITY

Being purposeful with my work is what inspires my creativity and drive to produce quality content. Through intentional design, I am thorough with my work which can be seen through the painstaking attention to detail and effort I put into whatever I'm dedicated to. 

TRANSPARENCY

My experiences working with a number of organizations has taught me the vitalness of transparency. The productivity of a group is affected by how much transparency, or the lack thereof, is present. My value for collaboration cannot function well without the commitment to communicating with one another and being transparent about our thoughts, opinions, and progress with our work.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION

It is of the utmost importance to me to be a contributor and advocate for creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment where all coworkers and clients are treated with respect regardless of their race, gender, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or other identities they may hold. I will work tirelessly to uplift the voices of marginalized communities.
